End of Week1 Start of Week 2

This brings us to the end of the puppies first week. Tails and dew claws where done earlier this week and everyone is doing very, very well. They are growing like little weeds. Before long there will be no stopping them as they motor along. This will be their last week here with me in the apartment, next weekend (June 25th) they will be going to my parents farm where they will stay until they go into their new homes. They will be exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, noises, and experiences that the farm has to offer.

Puppies have arrived

I am very pleased to announce the arrival of AussieWind's first litter of puppies.  They arrived early this morning. There are 4 females. 2 black bi's, 1 black tri, and 1 blue merle. All are doing very well. Little butter balls that they are they are fairly mobile as they squirm around the whelping box. Although usually when I look in they are either eating or sleeping. Halo is a doting mother and has taken to the role very well. Staying close to the whelping box, really only leaving when she has to go to the bathroom or is looking for food, and always making sure to count her pups when she returns.

I am still taking deposits for pups from this litter. Pups will be ready to go in August.. They will have first vaccines, microchip, and eyes checked before they go to their new homes.
